Boilerplate

Copy these verbatim. They are written to be pasted, not paraphrased.

Short — 28 words

GFR Games is the games arm of Threat Tape LLC, run single-handed by Kevin Stallard in Atlanta. Six titles in progress across Flutter, Unity and the browser.

Long — 84 words

GFR Games is a one-person studio in Atlanta, Georgia, operating as a DBA of Threat Tape LLC. It ships small games built in the evenings after thirty years spent in and around the games industry — a trick-taking card game, a space-trading roguelike, a tower defense built with the founder's kid, a craps variant played entirely on twenty-sided dice, and two more in progress. Everything playable runs free in a browser. Nothing is finished yet, which the studio treats as a description rather than an apology.

Founder

Bio — short

Kevin Stallard has spent thirty years in and around the games industry, seventeen of them running Dragon Con's Video Gaming Track, where he still appears as a featured speaker. He is the sole developer behind GFR Games.

Bio — long

Kevin Stallard is the founder of Threat Tape LLC and the sole developer behind its games arm, GFR Games. He spent seventeen years running Dragon Con's Video Gaming Track and still returns as a featured speaker, co-owns the fan convention Nerdi Gras, and was once written into World of Warcraft as an NPC bartender after a Blizzard developer took a liking to one of his drinks. His day job is security and governance software; the games happen in the evenings, and have done for thirty years.

The longer version is on the About page, including why the games and the security work live under two different names.

The catalog

Six titles. The state line on each is the honest one — the same text that appears on the placard in each game's room on the site. Every screenshot below was captured from the live build on 10 August 2026, not mocked up.

Roc in play: a bidding round with the player's hand of numbered cards fanned along the bottom, opponents' bids listed in a panel, and the five-card nest above.

Please carry this qualifier if you write about it. The World Dungeon is an original work. Its mechanics are inspired by the litrpg and dungeon-crawl genre — seasonal progression, an audience economy, a system voice — none of which anyone owns; its characters, places, floors and writing are ours. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by any author or rights holder, it is not an adaptation of anyone's books, and it is not yet for sale.

The Vector Death wordmark: the words VECTOR DEATH drawn as angular outlined letterforms, slanted, in pale grey on steel.

No screenshot yet, because there is nothing to screenshot. The project is data definitions and no playable scene. The wordmark above is the only asset that exists.

Wordmark and logo files

There is no logo, by design. The mark is type: the letters GFR set in Luckiest Guy, with Games underneath in Archivo. Please set it as type or use one of the files below rather than drawing a symbol for it — there isn't one to draw.

The GFR Games wordmark in dark ink on the studio's warm paper background. The GFR Games wordmark reversed, in warm off-white on near-black.

Using it

  • The studio name is GFR Games. Not GFR, not GFRGames.
  • On first mention in a business context: “GFR Games, a DBA of Threat Tape LLC”. Everywhere else, GFR Games is enough.
  • Don't stretch it, rotate it, add a stroke, or set it in a different face. Recolouring to plain black or plain white is fine.
  • Give it clear space of about one cap-height on every side.

Colours and type

  • Paper
    #F4F0E6
  • Ink
    #1A1714
  • Vermilion
    #9C3520

Display face: Luckiest Guy, single weight, never faux-bolded. Everything else: Archivo. Both are free from Google Fonts.

Contact

One person answers this, and it is the person who wrote the games. Interview requests, review builds, and anything you need that is not on this page go through the contact form; publishing and business mail is answered within two business days. Say which outlet you are with and what your deadline is, and it will be treated as one.

Kevin is at Dragon Con every year — seventeen of them running the Video Gaming Track, and still on the programme as a featured speaker. If you would rather do this in person than over email, that is the easiest place to find him.
